Case Study: FixMyOffice Website Development

Client Overview:

FixMyOffice, part of the Al-Farooq Group, was founded in Dubai in 2009. The company offers a range of office solutions, including IT consulting, infrastructure management, printer rentals, and cloud services, aimed at improving office efficiency and security.

Project Background:

While interning at Thirdeye Solutions, I was tasked with completing the FixMyOffice website, which had been left unfinished by a previous developer. The client was heavily involved, providing detailed feedback and requiring multiple iterations to achieve their vision of a modern, user-friendly website. The project was completed within two weeks and involved implementing several advanced features to meet the client’s specific needs.

Challenges Faced and Solutions:

• Incomplete Codebase: Picking up from where the previous developer left off required analyzing and optimizing the existing code to align with the client’s requirements.
• Slick JS Customization: The client requested non-standard features, which involved diving into the library’s documentation and implementing custom solutions.
• Frequent Feedback and Iterations: The client’s attention to detail led to numerous revisions. Regular communication and iterative updates helped ensure their satisfaction.

Outcome:

The completed website reflected the client’s vision, featuring a polished design, smooth animations, and intuitive functionality. It effectively showcased FixMyOffice’s services while providing an engaging user experience.

Key Learnings:

• Working on this project enhanced my understanding of customizing libraries like Slick JS and integrating animations with Wow JS.
